Stupid in every sense
What’s wrong with these writers? It makes me ashamed to think these are the scripts that get made into movies. Don’t waste your time. Every character was ridiculous.

Christmas idiocracy.
Somewhere into this movie my mind was held captive by a vision. I was “cousin Vinny”, standing in Court, while the voice of the judge, Fred Gwynne, was booming: “Mister Gambini, are you on drugs?”. When I came back, I was still protesting that I have never used drugs. Yet, the producers and script writers of this movie must have been on some. Ellie and John, though quite messed up, are the only near-normal people in a world where all inhabitants behave like frantic morons or brain-damaged lunatics. It follows they are meant to be a couple. The profound silliness of this yarn in not devoid of kindness and candor, to the point that it becomes almost endearing. After all, unlike in so many pure-rubbish TV productions of the Holiday season, especially from Lifetime, in this one the farce was intentional.
