Awful
The two people that rated this a 10/10 obviously are trolls and or known someone who worked on it. This movie is awful. The sound. The acting. The fx. All of it. It’s just a terrible movie all over. I think I’ve maybe left five review total on a movies since the internet came out. This is just awful. The clown looks like an idiot. It’s not scary at all. He likes tying men up alot and tickling them all over the place. Their feet and belly. It’s iust really awkward it’s not scary. I think it’s most likely a fetish film. No one no matter how much they are scared of clowns would find this scary.
Very creepy indeed
Meek, but troubled artist Larry (a solid and sympathetic performance by Pete Jacelone, who also directed) suffers from belated post-traumatic stress over a harrowing childhood experience involving his alcoholic mother Lyla (a convincing turn by Lisa Deane) and her abusive carnie boyfriend Dale (a genuinely chilling portrayal by Edward X. Young). Unable to keep his demons at bay, Larry finally succumbs to a deadly alter ego who takes on the form of a grotesque clown with a tickling fetish.Jacelone really takes full advantage of the killer clown concept (the hideous clown mask that the killer clown wears in particular is awful damn scary), grounds the absorbing story in a believably sordid workaday reality, and adeptly crafts an extremely dark and disturbing mood. Moreover, the scenes with the clown tickling his victims to death are surprisingly intense and unsettling. Trevor Wright’s no-holds-barred script not only says something poignant and significant about the severe emotional and psychological damage wrought by childhood abuse, but also doesn’t punk out with a contrived happy ending. The sturdy acting by the capable cast keeps this movie humming, with especially stand-out contributions from Heather Drew as tough and vengeful call girl Payton, Daylan Ludemann as the gentle Conner, Jesse Amici as the antagonistic Tony, and John Link as sleazy pimp Diablo. Kudos are also in order for Mike Dilorenzo’s sharp cinematography and Anthony Belluscio’s melodic score. An on the money frightfest.
