Synopsis

Watch: First Ladyland 2017 123movies, Full Movie Online – Sevnica, the small medieval town in Slovenia where Melania Trump grew up, is officially open for business. That’s because, in many ways, our new First Lady is their new First Lady too. And now it seems the whole country is talking about their favorite daughter. Slovenia couldn’t be further removed from her husband’s vision for America, but Slovenians across the country are embracing The Donald and making preparations for a boom in tourism that, if all goes as planned, should start any moment now. If you try not to get too partisan for about 20 minutes, FIRST LADYLAND will make you smile bigly. But if we go missing, please check our coffee for cyanide..

Reviews:

I Am Everything You Want To Be (2/2)
Act II begins with a balloon artist explaining the misconception of the Slovakia versus Slovenia name similarities which causes confusion among foreigners. He hopes the ascension of Melania on the world stage will lift up the entire community. We then see his worthless balloon artist trophies while hearing his shallow insight into his “impermanent sculpture.” I was being manipulated to think that he was an average guy whose opinion really mattered. 9:10 starts with the meager Sevnican Trump Inaugural Party at the town cafe, edited into some slow-motion shots to punctuate their reality. Slow-motion is used in three other instances for this film to provide breathing space or as a “let-up” time to think and collect your thoughts about what you just saw. What follows then is a stark revelation of the cheapness of their personality cult, with “First Lady” wine and salami and “Melania lingerie” in a department store’s window dressing, that is separated from the mayor’s PR prank by showing the empty and miserable Sevnica train station. I felt used in the same way that the public in this film was, as that they may not be erudite but they are likable and need to be afforded the same courtesy in this movie that they showed the filmmakers themselves, without whose cooperation this production would not have been made. In contradiction, during the American protest marches, signs painted “Heil Trump”, “Free Melania” and “Melania is an immigrant” appealed to my humanitarian emotions, which manipulated my pity for those affected by the Trump travel ban. The ending again is quickly ushered-in by the crazy “Mexican Hat Dance” music which has been associated with negativity in movies from the past. Headlines remind us again that Melania will sue her own countrymen if they use her photos for their own marketing purposes. The finale relaxes into a Slovenian Red Cross charity Holiday Concert, with the speaker appealing for a Trump visit, followed by the mayor. The parochial children’s choir caroling and visual intercutting throughout also reveals others pleading with the Trumps. In the end, the Sevnica audience applauds the choir, with the tour guide on the bus imploring “Don’t forget us!” yielding to the ending credits of the film. In the last five seconds we see the Trumps dancing to the start of the Frank Sinatra tune “My Way” to signal the end of the documentary. My overall feeling of having just seen a propaganda film tempers any anger or desire to go out and do something. I have just seen and heard this statement piece by David Freid and now consider how I have changed over the last twenty minutes by watching this film. The unmasking of a perfidious Melania Cult of Personality is the conclusive reason for this film to be made and seen. The fact that this contrived fad is an animating force in Slovenians’ lives just shows that everyone would love to be working at jobs that they love, all while they enjoy making money and promoting their own native icon. And for the Melania fans, “Slovenia couldn’t be further removed from her husband’s vision for America, but Slovenians across the country are embracing The Donald and making preparations for a boom in tourism that, if all goes as planned, should start any moment now. If you try not to get too partisan for about 20 minutes, FIRST LADYLAND will make you smile bigly. But if we go missing, please check our coffee for cyanide.” (Freid, pp.1)
