Interesting Yet Not At All Either
This is a tough one because this is definitely a interesting movie, and there’s genuinely a good film in here somewhere but the way it’s told it comes off more like artsy fartsy nonsense! It’s a shame because what is attempted here is respectable. The way it tries to weave this tale of this woman suffering this neurological disease is sometimes effective. But overall most of the time it’s eye roll inducing. The acting is also another huge weak spot. Most of the actors deliver their lines so unrealistic and monotonously. It really takes you out of the movie. And a lot of the shots are repeatedly used ad nauseam, which for a movie as long as this just test your patience. Speaking of run time I believe this film could have Atleast could have been 20 mins shorter. The 2 hour runtime does nothing but affect this movie for the worse. But I’ll say this, the last 10 mins are pretty awesome! Like I said before there’s a good movie in here somewhere. It’s a shame that this film is bogged down by some questionable acting, over long runtime and repetitive cuts because I honestly think even if they just recut the movie with no additional scenes I think it would actually be pretty good. Alas it’s mediocre movie with a pretty interesting premise that falls short of the mark.
