Watch: Khuda Kay Liye 2007 123movies, Full Movie Online – After going through a bitter divorce through a Caucasian wife, U.K.-based Hussain Shah now lives in a common-law relationship with another Caucasian woman. Angered that his daughter, Mary, is dating a Caucasian male, Dave, he counsels her to stop seeing him as it is forbidden for women to marry outside Islam. But when Mary persists, he relents and permits her to marry, provided she travels with him to Lahore, Pakistan, to meet his estranged mother and brother, to which she agrees. Once there, Mary is then taken to a remote area in Afghanistan and forced to marry her cousin, Sarmad Khan, a singing artiste, who has turned conservative after being influenced by Moulana Tahiri. Sarmad’s brother, Mansoor, re-locates to Chicago, to enroll for music lessons with Professor Lincoln, meets with Caucasian fellow-student, Janie, and both fall in love with each other. Than the events of 9-11 will result in Mansoor’s arrest by the CIA. He is isolated, humiliated, fed pork, tortured endlessly until he reveals his role within Al Qaeda and his association with Usama Bin Laden. He is then lodged in a stinking cell where he proceeds to write ‘I LOVE USA’ on the walls. Mary in the meantime, with the assistance of other oppressed women, manages to escape, but is captured, taken back, sexually molested by Sarmad, becomes pregnant and gives birth to a girl. While back in the USA, the torture takes a heavy toll on Mansoor, he then changes the writings on the wall to ‘I LOVE USAMA’, while investigators come across Arabic evidence that he may have been actually involved in the 9-11 attacks..
Plot: The film is about the difficult situation in which the Pakistanis in particular and the Muslims in general are caught up since 9/11. There is a war going on between the Fundamentalists and the Liberal Muslims. This situation is creating a drift not only between the Western world and the Muslims, but also within the Muslims. The educated and modern Muslims are in a difficult situation because of their approach towards life and their western attire. They are criticized and harassed by the fundamentalists and on the other hand the Western world sees them as potential suspects of terrorism just because of their Muslim names.

It can’t get more real than this
To actually see a movie from Pakistan in which actors are talking and not yelling was a pleasant surprise but as the movie progressed it completely blew my mind off for being so real. This movie take its viewer right in to the world of Pakistanis who are either living in Pakistan or residing abroad especially in western world. It realistically portrays life in Pakistan where people are caught between the hardliner religious scholars and carrying the normal activities and pleasures in life. It also shows the dilemma of overseas Pakistanis when they see their children being brought up in a western society. Finally, it painfully shows what has happened to many Pakistanis that have been targeted by western people and law after 9/11. The greatest service that this movie has done is to show the world that how difficult it is right now to be Pakistani and I can’t say much more than that.

On the side of acting all the actors did justice to their characters. Shaan (Mansoor) was at his best and I must admit that I never thought that Shaan could deliver such a powerful performance after seeing his mindless Punjabi movies. His acting, while being tortured by law was realistic to a frightening extent. After watching the movie I felt that huge amount of research must have gone on the background as every situation looked near to reality. For example, the way Government Political Agent approached tribal council was very realistic.

Amidst all the painful realities the film does give a ray of hope in the end when Iman Ali (Maryam/Marry) opens a girl’s school in tribal area. I guess it was necessary for the artist (Shoaib Mansoor-director) to give hope in the end. Although, sadly speaking that ray of hope is still no way near in sight to Pakistani society as during the last few years, many of the girls schools in northern area of Pakistan have either been bombed or closed down as a result of threats and I am afraid that Maryam school might have been one of them.

A movie every Muslim should watch and be proud of….

“Khuda Key naam SE khelo Na khuda Key lye khuda Key lye”..

Khuda Key lye is an awesome movie… this movie is probably one of the best movie i have ever seen… a kind of movie i would have made if i had been in the movie business.

Every angle of the movie was tackled in a very mature way. even the humor that was in the movie was placed accordingly and was not cheesy or cheap at all..

as for acting goes.. TWO THUMBS UP for every one. I was amazed how the “moulvi” (dont know his name) acted in the movie. he seems like a great actor. No words can describe how shaan acted. he acting was just perfect. When i was on my way to watch the movie i knew in my heart that it will be a great movie but i was 100% sure that iman Ali would ruin the movie BUT i was 110% WRONG. she was really amazing especially after when she gets married to fa wad. Now bringing me to Fawad… i thought he was also really good in the movie except for 1 scene but overall has the potential of becoming a good actor. Naeem tahir, iman Alis father and nae em tahirs wife were really a pain in the neck. they were really very TERRIBLE. as for iman Alis step mom she was really good. Last but not the least Naseer ud din Shah stole the show in the end. Do u know that he didn’t even charge a single penny for this movie. He was really really awesome and no words can describe how great an actor he is.

I hope people have learned a lesson from this movie and i pray that this movie has revived (dont remember when Pakistan made a great movie like this he he) the Pakistani cinema. BTW i have seen this movie two times 🙂 just love it!
