Sorry and biased story telling
Before you call me a misogynist nazi, read the full review. The movie is called dev bhoomi; evidently the director has depicted how he perceives that to be in Uttarakhand. Its based in a village in which almost everyone is nasty. If you’ve ever been to any part of Uttarakhand you’ll know that this potrayal of mountain people is extremely biased and nefarious. There’s almost no aspect of rural Uttarakhand which he thinks is remotely dharmic, and yet he calls the movie dev bhoomi. While his craft is passable, his understanding of India and her people is ignorant at best, and sinister at worst. Don’t get me wrong – India isn’t a bed of roses and I don’t expect it to be delivered that way. Just don’t pretend to show reality when you don’t even try to see another side of it.
