Better Than I Thought it Would be
I went to see this film and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the scenes, the original story, (which was not what i thought it would be) it was much better than anticipated, this is a new way to think of mummies, as living beings, not as rotting corpses, and considering the limited budget, I say that the producers and director made a small miracle.

It is very easy to criticize, especially when no effort was made by the critic, especially in trying to make something remotely similar.

However it is another ballgame to contribute with a solid argument and make it through.

I say this film is pretty funny, and entertaining, and this is what i was expecting from it. The rest is all idle controversy.

Wow, this was bad!
I had high hopes for this movie. But in the end, it is just a sloppy puzzle of existing pieces, forced together by someone who does not care that the puzzle pieces actually do not fit.

It has so many elements in it and it does not do any of these elements justice. What does this film want to be anyway? There is music but not enough and this part of the story is abandoned at some point anyway. It is somehow about love, but the movie seems to be afraid to fully go into this topic. Maybe to not loose the young audience. Everything is so formulaic and superficial. Nothing is new and original, as everything is drawn from existing movies, franchises or former music stars like the Bangles.

There was so much potential for this movie to become a great one. But in the end, there is just enough there to fill a computer generated tv show episode of 20 minutes on kid’s tv.
