Lived up to the expectation
It’s not the exact copy of the book, but the essence of the series is present. The movie does deliver the core components of a young adult book which is all one can expect from adaptations.

One issue would be the music and fast scenes in the second half. However, they still were able to pull a 405-page book into 2 hour movie.

Special mention would be Julio Peña, who lived the character, Ares. The internal battle of the character was so reflected in the expression.

This is a teenage movie
This is a teen movie, and people need to remember this when leaving reviews and when deciding to watch it. For me it was fun and exciting. Both lead roles make some stupid decisions as we all did/do, as they are teens (I just think people need to remember this :D). It’s a classic rich/poor storyline, and it fulfilled my expectations. I took 1 star away because there were just too many sex scenes.
