Synopsis

Watch Grimm 2011–2017 123movies, Full TV Series Online – Portland detective, Nick Burkhardt, has seen some gruesome crime scenes, but nothing prepares him for the strange visions he begins seeing: seemingly regular people momentarily transforming into hideous monsters. A visit from his only living relative reveals the truth. Nick has inherited the ability to see supernatural creatures, and as a “Grimm,” he is tasked with keeping the balance between mankind and the mythological. A reformed “Big Bad Wolf” becomes his greatest (and also reluctant) ally and confidant. It’s not long before his work as a policeman leads Nick to the criminals he once thought were only found in fairy tales..
Plot: After Portland homicide detective Nick Burkhardt discovers he’s descended from an elite line of criminal profilers known as “Grimms,” he increasingly finds his responsibilities as a detective at odds with his new responsibilities as a Grimm.

Reviews:

Grimm and not so grim
Do you like fables? Fantasy stories and creatures in general? You will have quite the feast here – if you accept certain flaws that is. While the characters are nicely written, this falls mostly under the monster of the week category. There is some building up and characters developing to a certain extent. But it also lets them do things and then lets them get away without or little consequences.

There is also quite the coincidences and stuff that does not make sense. Things get sweaped under the rug and we have the “Buffy” level of knowledge: check the book. Which is all fine and dandy, but also quite a stretch to be fair. I know that some might feel the world depicted here is a stretch itself, which is fair. But even in the world and the rules set, it breaks them from time to time to say the least.

You can’t be too mindful of things like that, otherwise you won’t enjoy the show at all. It is fun and watching the outtakes make you like the actors even more. Which might make it harder to rate this the way you wanted to rate it … I was thinking about going an 8 just because of that, but even though the finale was also very good, it was also very predictable and gave us a character (re)turn, that should not have happened. The lines can blur between good and evil … but sometimes it is too much … not to mention the return of … but let’s leave the soap opera elements alone and just enjoy this for what it is … light and fun entertainment

Supernatural cop romp that is not at all Grimm
I really don’t know whether to love or hate this show. It is smack bang in the middle of no-man’s land as far as I am concerned.

In fact, the only thing that keeps me watching week after week is the comedy side-kick werewolf played by Silas David Weir. But even his character is rather hit and miss.

And that’s the problem. I prefer watching the show for the antics of a supporting character. The supposed main character is rather bland and two-dimensional.

Overall its Cops meets Buffy with neither the campiness of the latter or the Grimmness (yeah, I know, I couldn’t resist!) of the former.

It’s just… meh! Either play it entirely for laughs, or make it much more serious because, as it stands, it’s too middle-of-the-road to make much of an impact.

EDIT (SEASON 2): Well, it’s grown on me! I’m still watching it and I’m pleased to see they did something interesting with Nick’s wife. Her character was dull in the first season. Nice to see they switched it up a little. I’ve even upped my rating by two stars! I must be getting soft in my old age…
