The lodge, run by half-baked spiritual guru Godric (Richard Epcar), is situated on a portal to another dimension. The four friends are pulled into the alternate dimension, where four evil spirits from a past century attack the friends to steal their bodies and strand them in this empty dimension forever. It’s a fight to the death as only some of them will make it out alive..
Plot: Four young people are pulled into an alternate dimension through a portal in a sweat lodge. On the other side four murderous spirits of centuries-old gold hunters await to steal the young peoples’ bodies and return to the living world.

Metaphysical concepts on a tiny budget
ALTERED SPIRITS is another indie horror flick that tries, and fails, to cover big metaphysical concepts on a tiny budget. A quartet of friends find themselves holed up in a remote cabin after some dimension-shifting adventures, but ghosts are attempting to steal their bodies to return to life and they have to fight to protect themselves. This one tries an arty approach in an attempt to look like a proper film but the material is way below what’s required. The dialogue lacks sufficient emphasis and the whole thing is quite boring.
