Hitchcock Meets Routine Cop Story
Good actors, great locations, good photography in this routine Cop story. I also saw a lot of Hitchcock inspiration in this film especially the rooftop chase, the M on the elevator and the suspense 1950s style soundtrack. I am a fan of Brian De Palma’s work but this is not one of his better films. From what I read the director was let down by budget constraints and the script was a bit weak. Dutch actress Carice Van Houten is always good to watch.
