A Movie for All Ages…..accidently.
The story prior to the ending is basically a child’s horror movie, but some things, including the ending are adult themed! Wouldn’t recommend it for either group. The six stars I gave it are for the younger child actors who all did a great job.

If Home Alone was more Realistic, but with a Supernatural Horror Twist
I gotta say that I was surprised by the end of this film.

At some points I liked it and found it realistic and then at some times it had that poorly filtered look from a lifetime romance movie or xmas special.This could have used a couple thousand more bucks in its budget and it may have been a better film. The effects suffered a tad, but were made up for in the dark dim lighting at times, and the palpable memory of fearing the dark, in that primal innocent way that most people have felt at one time in their life…it was almost like reliving it in a slight way. The main character was like a more badass version of the kid from Home Alone. And he truly was on his own; nobody liked him much except a friend and a potential crush, his parents were a bit useless, and the older sister and far too many others are Fired as responsible individuals. Because there are people that shirk the simplest responsibilities that matter then the chips are down and then some. IT got good at some points, and the film still did a decent job with what it had, and I found myself enjoying the film. It was a movie that, though technically ” for family” should be taken with a tad lil gain of salt. Kids under 7 years old stay away. The movie has a dark element that does not get better. And by the end when it is revealed what is going on and the impactful ending I can say this was almost a 7 ratable film. But it just could have been better, and thus I give it a 6. Its got just enough dark horror in it to prick ones interests and remind some why we once feared the dark. Kinda blown away.
