Watch: Punch 2002 123movies, Full Movie Online – Dr. Sam Frizzell lives alone with his eighteen year old daughter Ariel Frizzell in the upper middle class Kitsilano neighborhood of Vancouver. Sam has dated little since his wife died when Ariel was a young child, he instead focusing his attentions on his daughter. With the exception of sex, Ariel has almost become a surrogate wife for Sam. Ariel, on the other hand, has taken that role one step further, she who has an Electra complex. Ariel has had behavior issues, in large part due to the circumstances around her mother’s death and the way Sam has treated her since. As such, she has no real friends and she is home schooled by a tutor – a young man named Markus who often cannot control his student – as she couldn’t function within a school environment. Into their lives comes Mary. As their third date, Sam thinks it would be a good idea for Mary to come to his house to meet Ariel. Mary’s already tenuous dating life takes a step backward when Ariel is openly hostile toward Mary over dinner, with the evening ending with Ariel physically assaulting Mary. The assault does not sit well with Julie, Mary’s sister who works as a topless boxer in a local bar. Like Ariel, Julie has anger issues stemming from her growing up period, with the boxing ring being what she believes her controlled her anger management outlet. Julie does whatever she feels she needs to both to get justice for her sister and to ensure that Mary is happy in whatever relationship she decides to embark..
Plot: Ariel is a troubled girl with more than the usual teenage problems. When her emotion and temper get the best of her, she is drawn into a world where she can take out her anger with her fists. In the tradition of ‘Girlfight’ comes a wildly original story of rage and redemption.

Complex familial relationships explored
I really enjoyed this movie. The characters draw you in. I was intrigued from the beginning. The characters are very well written. I was surprised by the complexity of the female characters. Women can be very hard to understand. I loved how complex the female characters were. Especially because they are so rare to see. The daughter is very well written. Julie the Beauty could benefit from more character development. Extremely well acted. KUDOS to all involved. I would have sworn this was written by a female. Excellent. I liked all the female characters and felt the tortured existence of the male “dad” lead. Great flick. Even my non film-minded Pakistani husband enjoyed it.

Honestly People?! This represents Canadian Cinema?
This was one of the most pointless, slow, and ridiculous films I have EVER seen. To those of you that say this represents Canadian Cinema, then I am sorry for you Canadians if this is true. Which I can’t wrap my head around you people saying this when so many of you are such talents and dominate the American Cinema landscape?

This was like watching REALLY bad actors, doing a series of REALLY bad and pointless scenes, in REALLY bad acting acting class. I was honestly embarrassed for the people involved. I do not understand how a script this bad could be greenlit? It could have honestly been edited down to a somewhat interesting and quirky 20min short – but as a movie it was torture. The scenes were boring and the characters made no sense. The father especially! He waits until his freaky daughter is 18 to do nothing? And the female fighter??? We are supposed to believe that topless boxing is the end all be all of world class fighters? And for the story, everything was thrown in your face, but what was thrown had no weight and no aim. This may be one of the worst films I ave ever seen. Could someone post the names of some “good” Canadian films – so I can get this taste out of mouth.
